Summer soup's sellout success
Soup returned with a sellout success in Wells Cathedral - and money for four more good causes. This grant-giving lunch used to have £700 to share. Now it has increased to £850 with the lion’s share of the audience’s votes going to Wells Focus Counselling who went away with £500. The latest Wells Soup attracted the largest audience so far in this grant-giving lunch’s ten-year history. Bishop’s Palace Pastor Rosey Lunn opened the afternoon in Wells Cathedral with a warm tribute to Ross Young, the lead organiser of Soup, who sadly died in early March.
